We are hiring an Event Operations Manager - Adelaide International to join our team to help deliver a world-class tournament experience for players, partners, sponsors and fans alike. This is a full-time fixed-term contract based until March 2027 in Melbourne or Adelaide.As this is a seasonal role, we require full availability and flexibility across the summer months, December – February. We strongly encourage applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTQI+ individuals, people with disability, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds.About the roleIn this role you will be responsible for: Leading the end-to-end operational delivery of the Adelaide International, ensuring the event is delivered safely, professionally, on budget and to a world-class standardManaging event operations including venue overlay, event build, court resurfacing, practice facilities, catering, transport, accreditation, player services and court servicesDeveloping and executing operational plans, event schedules and functional area procedures to ensure seamless tournament delivery and player readinessManaging event budgets, forecasting expenditure, monitoring costs and ensuring financial outcomes are achieved within agreed parametersLeading, recruiting and developing staff, contractors and volunteers, fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture across all event operations functionsAbout youTo be successful in this role you will: Bring demonstrated experience delivering large-scale sporting, entertainment or major event operations in complex, dynamic environmentsHave strong project management and operational planning capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, suppliers and competing prioritiesPossess sound financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, procurement and contractor managementBe an exceptional relationship builder, able to engage effectively with players, officials, venue operators, government representatives, commercial partners and internal teamsDemonstrate strong leadership skills with experience motivating, coaching and developing teams, contractors and volunteers to achieve outstanding event outcomesPreparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia What’s to love?
